For your overall health and wellbeing, we combine specialized endodontic care with biological dentistry

As our name suggests, at Endodontics Associates of Georgia, we are specialists in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the innermost parts of the teeth. Additionally, our endodontists, Drs Damaries Candelario-Soto, Yanina Figueroa, Joseph Yoo, Shaletha Bolden, and Yasir Al-Drugh, practice biological dentistry. “Bio” generally is derived from the ancient Greek word for “life.” In everything that we do, our teams in Atlanta, Kennesaw, Cartersville, and Roswell strive to enhance and restore the health of your mouth, as well as the overall health and wellbeing that depends on the function and state of your teeth and gums. We have carefully selected each material, product, technique, and technology that has been introduced to this practice. We assure you that these amenities and services are in your best interests and do not present additional challenges or threats to your good health.

To give you a clearer picture of what makes our practice different from others who do not prioritize biological dentistry, we’ve provided a few examples of these principles “in action”:

  • GentleWave® Procedure – Not all specialists in nonsurgical root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures are equipped to offer this minimally-invasive alternative to “standard” root canal treatment. At Endodontics Associates of Georgia, we are privileged to offer this gentle, tooth-saving treatment. Instead of using manual instruments to treat a badly injured tooth, we use the likes of a cutting-edge fluid delivery system to conservatively clean and remove diseased tissues and bacteria from the root canal system. This approach preserves natural and healthy tooth structure and encourages fast and uneventful healing.
  • Biolase Procedure – Using lasers effectively fights endodontic infection and can perform disinfection and cleaning, open dentinal tubules, decontamination before obturation, pulpotomy and pulp extirpation, and smear layer removal in the canal.
  • Precision diagnostics – Our specialists support an accurate understanding of the conditions affecting teeth, as well as the unique anatomical structure of each patient’s tooth. Accurate diagnostics inform treatment that effectively and quickly resolves the problem and restores a tooth’s good health and function. Furthermore, CBCT (cone-beam computed tomography) scanners and digital radiography (x-rays) are fast and painless. They are associated with less radiation exposure than traditional, film-based x-rays and CT scanners.
  • Advanced surgical tools – There is power in our combination of advanced, focused training and cutting-edge instruments during surgery. We are adopters of endodontic microsurgery or the use of microscopy that allows for unsurpassed magnification and illumination of intricate structures and tissues. We’ve incorporated these tools with high-definition video, which provides ultra-clear insights and details into even the most minute areas. These technologies add up to more predictable and optimal outcomes from treatment.

Patients also appreciate that we see them as more than a damaged tooth. We approach each relationship holistically. With this understanding of each patient’s needs, lifestyle, behaviors, preferences, diet, comorbidities, and other factors that make up their whole selves, we can better support the most pleasant and satisfying experience at our practice, as well as their long-term health and quality of life. Experience these differences for yourself! Call us to schedule an appointment at our Atlanta office. We are also located in Kennesaw, Cartersville, and Roswell for your convenience.
